We work with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate our business, such as payment processors, email service providers, appointment scheduling tools, and analytics platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services on our behalf.

    b. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required to do so by law, such as in response to a court order, subpoena, or regulatory request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

    c. Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. 8. Back Up Your Device Before Service

We strongly urge all customers to back up their device completely before dropping it off or shipping it to us for repair. While our technicians take every precaution to protect your device, data loss can occasionally occur as an unintended consequence of certain repair procedures, hardware failures, or software resets. We cannot be held responsible for any loss of data, files, photos, contacts, applications, or settings that may occur during or after the repair process.

Android Devices: Use Google Backup (Settings > System > Backup) or your device manufacturer's built-in backup solution

Other Devices: Consult your device's user manual or manufacturer's website for recommended backup procedures

If you need assistance backing up your device before your repair appointment, please contact us and we will be happy to guide you through the process.

9. Do Not Share Your Codes

For certain repairs, our technicians may ask you to provide a temporary PIN or passcode to test device functionality before and after service. Please follow these important security guidelines:

Do NOT share your regular device passcode, Apple ID password, Google account password, or any other permanent credentials with our staff — we will never ask for these

If a temporary access code is required, we recommend setting a new temporary PIN for the duration of the repair and changing it back immediately upon receiving your device

Never share verification codes, two-factor authentication (2FA) codes, or one-time passwords (OTPs) with anyone, including our staff — we will never request these

Do not share repair status codes, ticket numbers, or account confirmation codes with anyone other than verified Broke Ass Phone LLC staff through our official contact channels

Be alert to phishing attempts — we will never contact you via unsolicited calls, texts, or emails asking for passwords or personal codes

If anyone claiming to represent Broke Ass Phone LLC requests your account passwords, 2FA codes, or other sensitive credentials, please refuse and report it to us immediately at privacy@brokeassphone.com.
